Tow vehicles must leave the venue and will be allowed to return after 7:30 pm on Saturday and after 4:30 pm on Sunday.  If your team needs to arrange an earlier departure on Saturday, please speak to a parking volunteer and request a parking space in Lots #5, #6 or #7 to make early departure possible. Tow Vehicle Parking

Limited tow vehicle parking will be available at Newton Chevrolet on Riverfront Parkway near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Parking is restricted to a designated part of the lot only as the balance of this lot is reserved for river cruise customers.

Team Buses

Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday – no team bus parking will be available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday inside the road blocks.  The suggested bus drop off and pick up traffic pattern is to drive into town, turn left from Chestnut Street onto 3rd Street and right from 3rd Street onto Power Alley.  This area is for drop off and pick up only; no long-term bus parking.  Leave Power Alley via 2nd Street.  Buses may stop along the westbound right lane of Riverfront Parkway outside of the roadblock for drop off and pick up, as directed by Hooch volunteers, although this is a quarter mile further from the venue than last year.

NEW FOR 2016: THERE IS NO BUS DROP OFF AND PICKUP ON THE VENUE THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. CLOSEST TEAM DROP OFF AND PICKUP AREA IS POWER ALLEY BETWEEN SECOND AND THIRD STREETS.  THE WEST RIVERFRONT ROAD CLOSURE IS AT NEWTON CHEVROLET THIS YEAR SO IT IS A LONGER WALK INTO THE VENUE FROM THAT LOCATION.

Team Supply and Food Deliveries

Teams should load supplies and food onto trucks and trailers and bring these items on site when the team trailer is delivered to avoid having to walk these supplies onto the site from outside the road blocks. Team supporters dropping off food should use the Aquarium turn-about at the end of Broad Street to load and unload. From this point it is a short walk to the venue seating and team tent area using the walkway between the Aquarium buildings. Only a small number of vehicles will be allowed to use the turn-around at a time given its small size and the need to allow access for Aquarium visitors. One person must stay with the vehicle at all times while it is parked in the turn-about. Supplies such as slings, rigging and tools not delivered when boat trailer is dropped off must be walked in from either Power Alley or the West entrance on Riverfront Parkway.

Car-toppers

Car-toppers should access the site from the west end of Riverfront Parkway on Thursday and Friday.  On Saturday and Sunday, car-toppers should access the site via Power Alley.  On all four days, car-toppers are asked to unload their boats and equipment and then remove their vehicles from the site immediately. See Access for Car-toppers map.

Handicapped parking

Handicapped parking is close to the venue. A valid Department of Transportation handicapped parking sticker will be required. Access for handicapped parking will be in the parking garage on West 2nd Street, between, Chestnut Street and Power Alley. See Venue Access & Parking map.

Boat Storage

Due to the large number of entries, teams are asked to store as many shells as possible on their trailers and on boat trees.  Boat trees may not be reserved for single teams.  It is highly recommended that teams bring their own boat slings.  As in past years, a limited number of boats trees (plus 25 additional sets to compensate for remote boat trailer parking) will be available for boat storage.  Storage of boats is at your own risk. The Organizing Committee cannot be responsible for improper storage of equipment.

NEW FOR 2016: The Hooch will provide an additional 25 sets of boat trees due to this year’s elimination of trailer parking and laydown space under Olgiati Bridge.

NOTE THAT NO BOAT LAYDOWN SPACE IS AVAILABLE IN THE BOAT TRAILER PARKING LOTS UNTIL ALL PARKING SPACES ARE FILLED. ONCE ALL TRAILERS ARE PARKED, EXCESS SPACE MAY BE USED AS LAYDOWN SPACE. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK WALKWAYS MARKED BY ORANGE TRAFFIC CONES.
